North Carolina wine experience & Golf Club

Written by Alessandro Rivetto on 24 April 2016

Mauro’s final stop in his USA tour was in North Carolina, where wine tasting and golf courses are closely connected.

Here are some of the most scenic golf clubs that Mark Orsini and Mauro visited.

The Peninsula Club

Our adventure began at the Peninsula Club in the town of Cornelius with a wine tasting of our wines for golf club members.

Here, we spoke about our winery and our work, tasting Arneis, Dolcetto, Nebbiolo and the more intense and complex wines of Barolo and Barolo di Serralunga, finishing with a sweet touch of Moscato.

Myers Park Country Club, Charlotte NC

Our experience in golf clubs and high society in America continued at the Myers Park Country Club in Charlotte, NC.

Here, Mark and Mauro took part in a presentation about wines from all around the world, representing (of course) Piedmont.

Trump National Golf Club, Charlotte

Our American tour concluded at the doors of Charlotte in one of North America’s most famous golf clubs, that of Donald Trump.

In this magnificent location overlooking Lake Norman, the wines of Alessandro Rivetto were front and center at an exclusive dinner reserved for 50 members of the golf club.

What really struck us during these trips was the incredible availability, interest, and hospitality that our hosts showed towards us, in our wines, and also in the history and stories of the territories in which we grew up.

We love traveling. For us, it’s not just an occasion to make new friends, but also a way to rediscover the passion that set us on this incredible adventure in the first place, that of the Winery of Alessandro Rivetto.
