In Pittsburgh, we were happy to meet up with some old acquaintances: Deb Mortillaro and Mike Gonze, owners of Dreadnought Wines.

Deb and Mike don’t limit themselves to selling wines that they’ve carefully selected themselves.

Years ago, Mike decided to offer wine and food themed courses and evening lessons.

In special occasion of our trip, the wines of Alessandro Rivetto were served at an evening of tasting new Piedmontese wines and cheeses.

We spent a fantastic evening at Pino’s Contemporary Italian Restaurant & Wine Bar in Pittsburg.

This restaurant has an Italian menu that goes beyond the stereotypical dishes like pasta and tomato sauce.

Here, Joseph and Jennifer Mico, the enthusiastic owners of the locale, offer Italian cuisine with a modern twist.

They organized a full menu paired with our wines for their guests. It was a wonderful evening and it gave us the chance to talk about what we love the most…good wine!
